The outright criminal censorship by the media continues to rock the foundations of our free speech rights as another mainstream radio personality, claiming to be independent, bites the dust, deciding this week to "shut up" a listener after she tried discussing the explosions in the WTC basement on 9/11 as the real cause of the collapse.
Regan MacBannon-Mason said she was told to shut up and called a conspiracy nut after calling in the "Savage Nation" radio show, hosted by Michael Savage, who claims to have the No. 1 independent radio show in the country.
Mason said after trying to explain why she felt 9/11 was an inside job by recounting the story of WTC janitor and national hero, William Rodriguez, Savage became rude and obnoxious, giving her "an earful" about how he doesn't put up with conspiracy nuts on his radio show.
Savage on his promotional web site claims to be the top "independent show" in the country with over 8 million listeners on 370 channels. However, what Savage fails to mention is that he really is a government hack, bought and paid off by the corporate media/government, having his show sponsored and underwritten by the deep pockets of CNN.
Shows like Savage, claiming to be independent but actually filtering the truth as controlled media gatekeepers for the neo-cons, are popping up all over the country in an attempt to cover the real stories by posing as truth-tellers but actually being liars hiding behind a phony microphones built on corruption and deceit.
And experiences like Mason's, being censored this week on the Savage show, bring to the forefront the folly taking place, as the tentacles of the 9/11 cover-up extend to all segments of the media, even the phony, so-called "independent press."
To put the Mason radio experience into prospective, all she tried to do was recount for the listeners another radio interview she heard where Rodriguez, the head WTC janitor on 9/11, heard distinct explosions rock the basement area of the North Tower just prior to the airplane striking the above floors.
Rodriguez was not the only one who heard the explosions, but there were at least 14 other people with him on the morning of 9/11, all hearing the same thing from an office on sub-level one.
However, besides hearing the explosions, the other thing they all have in common is that their eye-witness testimony has been systematically suppressed, as their stories have never seen the light of day in the mainstream media for four long years.
Rodriguez has been fighting ever since 9/11 to get the truth to the American people, but has been blocked by the 9/11 Commission, where his story has been left out of the final report.
It also has never been told in the American mainstream press, having been either edited or never printed by the New York Times, NBC News and all the other major news outlets.
Commenting about his story being censored again on the "Savage Nation," Rodriguez said this week from his New Jersey home:
"It doesn't surprise me. This has been going on for a long time. Even though my story has been told and I have been embraced with open arms overseas, the American government and press doesn't want to touch my story, as well as many other eye-witnesses who heard the same explosions in the North Tower.
"They want to keep the truth from the American people while not tarnishing the official story, and this is why all of us have been systematically kept out of the newspapers and the 9/11 Commission report. There exists a massive cover-up and the government knows my story will expose the truth.
"But despite everything they have tried to do to keep me quiet, I will never stop telling the truth about 9/11 for those who died and paid the ultimate price."
With Rodriguez being kept from earshot of mainstream America with a story that is not in the "conspiracy nut' category, Savage also showed his true colors this week by trying to protect the neo-con party line by not delving into the real truth behind 9/11, a story that remains to be the "the biggest untreated cancer" growing in our country.
And it's common, every day people like Mason and her story of radio suppression that clearly and accurately depicts the Nazi-like level of manipulation and censorship employed by the neo-con controlled media.
"I listened to an interview with William Rodriguez on Monday, June 27, 2005.
A point came out numerous times from Mr. Rodriguez about how the mainstream media would not repeat a word about President Bush's role in the attacks on the country, specifically how CNN would edit Mr. Rodriguez' attempts to reveal the truth," said Mason this week in an email to the Arctic Beacon about her displeasure over the experience with Savage.
"This afternoon I tried to share the information with Michael Savage over the radio airwaves. Mr. Savage asked me: "Do you believe George Bush had anything to do with that?' When I answered with an emphatic 'yes' and tried to explain what Mr. Rodriguez and 14 other people witnessed, I received an earful on the air from Mr. Savage about how he does not "put up with that" on his program. And how I had tried to 'pull' something with him for being a conspiracy person.
"Mr. Savage's "Savage Nation" is sponsored by CNN. I learned today what I had believed: that the media itself is 'not to talk about this,' nor is it to allow anyone else to invoke it. Like so many others, today, I too was told to 'shut up.'
"I adored the Twin Towers. I ate at Windows on the World and relished working on the South Tower's 86th floor. I realize that this is strong, but I would rather have died in the Twin Towers I loved, than to have lived to witness what is happening to this country. I don't believe we will win. My optimism is gone. I am so sorry."
